Who are we?

True Light Fellowship & Church (TLFC) is located in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, is a Pentecostal community dedicated to experiencing the fullness of the Holy Spirit’s presence. At TLFC, we are passionate about worshiping God in spirit and truth, and we believe in the transformative power of Pentecostal faith. Our church is more than just a gathering place; it is a family bound by our faith in Jesus Christ and our shared experience of the Holy Spirit’s indwelling presence. We come together in worship, prayer, and community to nurture our faith, deepen our relationships with God, and support one another in love. We are excited to journey together in faith, hope, and love. As we worship, pray, and grow in God’s grace, we find strength, healing, and spiritual renewal.

True Light Fellowship (TLF) was established in 1981 by a gathering of devoted Christian believers hailing from South India. Today, our Fellowship is a thriving community comprising diverse families and individuals from various age groups and ethnic backgrounds within the Indian diaspora.

The Fellowship gathers every Saturday night for worship, which features a rich program including singing, reading of psalms, sharing testimonies, helping children with memory verses, and delivering a sermon. While the service is primarily conducted in English, we incorporate songs in English, Hindi, and Malayalam to embrace our diverse linguistic backgrounds. During the Saturday service, we also organize Bible study sessions for children and youth. In addition to the spiritual nourishment, our members ensure there is a time for food and fellowship following each service. Throughout the year, we host a variety of activities such as cottage meetings, outdoor picnics, camps, and evangelistic gatherings. We periodically extend invitations to guest speakers who deliver spirit-filled sermons to our Fellowship.

TLF recognized the necessity for a Sunday service, and in 2014, this need culminated in the establishment of True Light Church (TLC) in Calgary. While initially intended to serve the Malayalam-speaking community, TLC’s vision extends to encompass other languages as well. Today, True Light Church stands as a vibrant Christian congregation in Calgary, rooted in Pentecostal teachings and committed to Spirit-filled worship and the truth of God’s Word. The combination of TLF and TLC is referred to as TLFC.

We emphasize worshiping God in Spirit and Truth, and we empower every church member to actively participate in the Great Commission through regular and systematic Bible study. TLC proudly hosts its Sunday School and youth activities, designed to effectively equip the next generation. Our goal is to nurture individuals so they may be complete and fully prepared for every good work as men and women of God. We are deeply committed to the community and organizes outreach initiatives focused on community development and spreading Christ’s love.
